Dorn quote A valuable lesson here and one we have witnessed the world over and yet we have those who do not learn.... 2 Reply Abby 2/7/12 re: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe quote It is a pretty clear statement. NO ONE can promise BOTH equality (and I am believing that Goethe was speaking about social/economic equality in this instance) and liberty unless they would be a liar. It would require theft from the so called freeman to give to the person lower on the economic ladder. We have seen this repeated over and over...historically and currently. Reply Abby 1/31/12 re: U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit quote Re: GA--An Administrative Court IS NOT A JUDICIAL PROCEEDING. This issue is being treated on a level that is all but irrelevant. Only a court of Law can handle issues of Law; like a 3-judge ct., ie, an Article III court. And the public is being led to believe that the legality (lawful, according to Law) of Obama's qualification for office is being addressed. It's all a tragic sham being staged for public consumption. Reply Abby 1/12/12 re: Walter F. Dodd quote The blueprint, the Constitution, was brilliant. It allowed this country to flourish, grow and be generous. As those we elect become greedy for power and corruption takes first place in DC removing power from the people the country falters...and will ultimately fail. Our congress has been castrated and the people neutered. It appears all fight has left and the Founders lost the fight for a legacy of liberty. Unless...we get Ron Paul in office...he is the only one who can see the fix we are in...any one else and we proceed down this road to collectivism. 2 Reply Abby 12/27/11 re: George Sutherland quote "The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time," Thomas Jefferson once wrote. "The hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them." It will take effort... Reply Abby 12/27/11 re: H. L. Mencken quote Then perhaps the time has come for the PEOPLE, not the parties to win the next elections. Restore America in 2012 and vote for Ron Paul, the only true 100% constitutionalist running. You can look up his voting record in congress in The Freedom Index...and see, he has often stood alone as the one man to support liberty. 2 Reply Abby 12/27/11 re: Buddha quote Liberty Tree is making everyone think...and look at the hits. Religion is more popular to argue over than politics. And while it is an important subject, at this moment in time our thoughts must be on Liberty itself for it is hanging in a noose and the people are being slowly strangled. It is time to ask for divine intervention or get to work alone to save this country...we need new leadership asap....vote 2012, Restore America...or read about her in history books as a great experiment easily removed...as was her God. 1 Reply Abby 12/12/11 re: Oath Keepers quote It pretty much IS their Oath at enlistment and is the Oath of every public servant...but many are thinking of the 'job' and don't pay attention. That is the point. When you join the military, police, or other 'authoritative' gov agency, the Oath is to support and defend the US Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Oathkeepers are determined to honor their Oath...something we don't see happening in congress, the white house, at governorships, in courts, by police and sadly by sheriff dept. However, Sheriff Mack is now working towards a goal of teaching sheriffs about their Constitutional duties so look him up online, he could use some help with that project. 1 Reply Abby 12/6/11 re: Thomas Paine quote from M Connelly:The Bill of Rights does not contain a list of rights that are given to the American people by the government. Instead it provides a list of the rights that are inherently ours, and they cant be taken away by the government. M Connelly 2011 Reply ABBY 12/5/11 re: Charles de Montesquieu quote ...a centralized government... ...AND IMPOSE TYRANNY ON SUBJECT NATIONS... Reply abby 12/5/11 re: Charles de Montesquieu quote If America ever does seek Empire, and most nations do, then planned reforms in our domestic life will be abandoned, States Rights will be abolished--in order to impose a centraized government upon us for the purpose of internal repudiation of freedom, and adventures abroad. The American Dream will then die--on battlefields all over the world--and a nation conceived in liberty will destroy liberty for Americans and impost tyranny of subject nations. Burroughs quote "The militia is the natural defense of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpation of power by rulers. The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of the republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally ... enable the people to resist and triumph over them." -- Joseph Story, Supreme Court Justice, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, p. 3:746-7, 1833 Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms ... The right of citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard, against the tyranny which now appears remote in America but which historically has proven to be always possible." -- Hubert H. Humphrey, Senator, Vice President, 22 October 1959 "[The purpose of a written constitution is] to bind up the several branches of government by certain laws, which, when they transgress, their acts shall become nullities; to render unnecessary an appeal to the people, or in other words a rebellion, on every infraction of their rights, on the peril that their acquiescence shall be construed into an intention to surrender those rights." -- Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia Q.XIII, 1782.
