LOL, J ignores that there is a significant probability that the stimulus will actually result in a direct profit for the people, to say nothing of the indirect benefit of avoiding a second "great depression". Government can act for good (as in the case of TARP) or bad (as in the policies that lead to the need for TARP).

You misinterpret that 70% number... two thirds of those not happy with the law think that it simply did not go far enough by not bringing us "Medicare for all"... and many of those two thirds think that "a step forward" (such as this law) is better than the regressive anti-humane treatment that the radical right propose (basically: profit for industry, death for the sick).

Apparently J is consuming the wrong media sources... perhaps Fox & friends are not covering the story, but others continue to do so. Maggie is way off base, there are a significant number (even a majority) that are indeed serving their duties well. Yes, there have been failures (e.g. post-9/11 & the Iraq invasion justifications by W), but over all most are doing their jobs well. Some of the worse educated people I know come out of private schools where they learn about "the one true God" but not how to think...
