Look at the U.K. and the dismal circumstances in which they find themselves, near bankruptcy, terrorism threats and the execution thereof in several instances, activists judges (the same things we face), so he should not be casting stones now, should he? 3 Reply Carol, Georgia 5/20/10 re: J. A. Stormer quote When I read that first sentence, that "the pretence (British spelling) is made that to do away with right and wrong would produce uncivilized people, immorality, lawlessness and social chaos," my brain went into a tailspin! That is not a pretense, that is reality. Psychiatrists and psychologists have really messed up a lot of thinking over the years, but this takes the cake. There are no moral "chains;" morals are a guide to the better person within. Morals are what we learn to embrace as we become adults so that we area able to lead happy, productive and successful lives. We would all do well to follow the Ten Commandments, no matter what faith is followed. If nothing else, observe the Golden Rule, which is found in one form or another in almost every society. Look at the categories list below to see where Stormers words will be found to get a sense of who he is. I thought this site is for liberty, not chaos. That is what would come of following Stormers line of thought. This is my first thumbs down rating. If future quotes raise this much ire in me, I'm afraid I will have to unsubscribe as the anonymous writer mentioned above. 1 Reply Carol, Georgia 5/3/10 re: Thomas Paine quote The American people are waking up. It will take decades if not generations to repair the damage done by the Progressives over the last 100 years, but we will once again prevail. We must! And maybe in the meantime we can get some much needed mental help for the Progressives. Read "The Liberal Mind," The Psychological Causes of Political Madness by Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., M.D. 1 Reply Carol, Georgia 5/3/10 re: Gerald Gilder quote It still would not work. It destroys the very humanness of people given by God. 1 Reply Carol, Georgia 5/3/10 re: Ellen Glasgow quote the quote is spot on. The movement is not forward; it is decidedly to the extreme left. 1 Reply Carol, Georgia 4/21/10 re: Benjamin Franklin quote The quote is spot on, but what happens when the "masters" are corrupt and vicious? The present congress and administration are the epitome of both. A Virtuous People must take their country back, but like Satan the masters of corruption will fight back mightily in the most devious ways. We will prevail only if we ask for our God's protection and deliverance. Reply Carol, Georgia 4/21/10 re: Thomas Jefferson quote What a pity that race has to the issue, but it is a diversion. The real reason for the long overdue rebellion we are now seeing in the TEA party, and others that have found it necessary to organize, is the Anarchy that looms ahead. We can thank the Congress and our current president for being so hell bent on pushing their Progressive Agenda, that the American People are finally "nudged" awake. Let us hope and pray (yes, PRAY) that America's true values and principles will win back our Constitutional Republic. We must return to our roots in order to assure the future our Founders set out for us. All important to this task will be to return to our Beloved Constitution. 1 Reply Carol, Georgia 4/21/10 re: Archibald MacLeish quote Jim K,Austin...I agree. And I think America is awakening to this nightmare. The changes have been going on for so long over generations, so insidiously that no one really notices what is happening. The progressive movement has made headway by baby steps over 100 years. We can thank Obama for one thing. He is so radical and his administration and the congress is so radical that it has finally gotten the attention of the apathetic electorate. Conservatives must unite, otherwise the progressives will "cross the finish line" and we will find ourselves living with anarchy and with no recourse. We must fight this revolution with resolve and without blood. It is time! 2 Reply Carol, Georgia 4/14/10 re: Mark Twain quote The present congress is a glowing example of why there should be term limits for Congress. The Founders did not want to promote lifetime politicians. They wanted the common citizen to serve and then go back to being an average citizen. Career politicians are destroying this country. Reply Carol, Georgia 4/14/10 re: Lord Acton quote This quote is proving to be true once again in the present as well as in the past. We may not have arrived at the absolute quite yet, but all the pieces are in place. Previous 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
