Anon, I think that's fairly accurate. Most people I talk to, including perfect strangers seem to have lost all faith in anything that can be termed "Main Stream Media". The system is beginning to show some cracks...

Sadly, one thing that has entirely escaped modern American foreign policy is empathy. Without much humility or regard for human life, our foreign policy has been reduced to alternately bribing and bombing other nations, all with the stated goal of “promoting democracy”. But if a country democratically elects a leader who is not sufficiently pro-American, our government will refuse to recognize them, will impose sanctions on them, and will possibly even support covert efforts to remove them. Democracy is obviously not what we are interested in. It is more likely that our government is interested in imposing its will on other governments. Tom, not only are they small minded, they are afraid. That's why they (the Obamunists) are going after your guns and ammunition. That's why they are spying on you. If someone else was trying to steal your money, your guns and your freedom and enslave your children...how would you react? (don't answer that, just think about it)

Waffler, the cold war was a (semi) farce propogated by our own government to induce a "Government please save us" mentality. Stalin wanted peace and felt just as threatened by the US as the other way around. And perhaps what you don't understand as Hermine points out...it was American Industry and real free enterprise that made America great. The deindustrialization of America is yet another step in the road to slavery. A nation that can not support itself is a "dependant" not a leader, not a free nation. A slave state.

Joe, your a man after my own heart. NRA life member and Libertarian Party member here. Spread the word...the NRA is America's original homeland security team. And they don't act like Nazi's about it. And all of us are Libertarians at heart, we find that out when the government comes knocking....Jim K...notice that the Tea Party's aren't getting much media attention even though they happen almost daily? Wouldn't want people to think there might be an anti (socialist) government movement happening now would we?

Anon, there is a further comparison to add. In a cashless society or where citizens are chipped (RFID)...we are no longer citizens...we are no longer even people, we're cattle, we're inventory. (Yes we can yes we can...)

Archer, you know what you're talking about. We become "corporations" for the fleecing when we accept a Social Security number. We enter into an agreement with our government to support it with our labor and our money along with whatever else they demand. They in turn provide us with "Social Security" which is a complete and utter farce.
