Waff, the money supply is right off the scale since 2002. There has been more "thin air" money created in the last seven years than in all the history of the US. The Dow's P&E numbers are floating at over a hundred. That figure is historically not more than 30. In other words, your "recovery" is artificial and inflated, and it IS going to crash. So some of us right wing nuts who actually understand what is going on are going to be a lot better prepared than the lefties who will starve with their only resources being what they've always been... their knees.

Government made law is usually to further the plunder of the nation and enforced with violence. Completely immoral on every imaginable level.

Mike, good observation as well. Yes its a conspiracy of criminals. As to marriage...the only reason you sanction from the state is A: Compelled compliance. (they like that) And B; You enshrine yourselves as one "tax unit" and you do so willingly by agreeing to comply to licensing. Its all very absurd really.

One of my favorite founders. A wise observation indeed and it is happening before our very eyes.

Anon, excellent observation. Its true that it begins with the acceptance of social security as being the ruse under which we give up a great many natural rights. And the government that is supposed to represent "we the people" is in fact merely a puppet regime serving foreign bankers. Whether we are slaves in wrapped chains or slaves wrapped in bureacratic and financial compliance...we're still slaves.

Great! I'd like to see the Arizona or Texas Minutemen Organizations arrest the Nazi's who are running citizen checkpoints on the highways. (http:\\checkpointusa.org)

Waff, we are partially in agreement here. It was the Treaty of Versailles and its goal of limiting German endeavor (for the benefit of the British) and the starvation of 800,000 Germans to force them into signing that Germany never forgot and which set the stage for WW2. England had been angling on a war with the Germans since the 1800's as Germany was emerging as an industrialized and colonizing nation which threatened British Global influence. At what point was any of this worth spilling American blood over? Adherence to the Constitution would have prevented all of it and changed the course of history.

The problem with healthcare in any industrialized nation is government involvement of any kind. ...as in "HI We're from the government and we're here to help"....run for your lives.

Waffler, had the US opted out of the first world war...there would not have been a second world war.

Waff, once again warped reasoning. The document says "Promote the general welfare" not "Extort whatever amount of money we want from working people to create a culture of welfare". And Government is NOT charitable by nature, it is historically controlling and power seeking by nature. Man you must really be at odds with all forms of reality.

J Carlton, Calgary

Waff, of course responds to to tangible / logical reasoning as all leftists do. With emotional appeals and a reasoning based on wishful thinking. Waff, Why don't you explain how socialized medicine run by unionized government bureacrats (that can not be fired) who are in a work to rule mode at all times is preferable to one on one medical care from a professional who's personal well being is dictated by his own performance?

Anon, its a system frought with bureaucracy (A Stalinist invention) under which people are dying on waiting lists. That, and they are slowly weeding out service for the elderly as unnecessary. Nice! Its all about control...

Justin, That's about right. I think it actually became a contemptible document when GWB said "The Constitution is just a damned piece of paper" Americans should take that personally too. After all Presidents are elected to uphold the Constitution, aren't they?

J Carlton, Calgary

Boy how times change...if I were to say maybe its time to buy a kinder, gentler machine gun..."I'm subversive." At least according to Napolitano.

Mike I'm up north in Canada. The news here yesterday said that 59% of Canadians polled feel the Americans are NOT being presented with the facts about Canadian style health care. As for the quote: Who better to decide how I should spend my money...than me?

"The contempt he shows for Aaron should be taken personally by every American who watches the video."...Its the same contempt a feudal lord would have shown for his peasants. Damn Straight !!Americans should be taking it personally. They're being robbed blind by these criminals.

Good point Warren, and one to be noted. The link I provided is both entertaining AND educational. Yes its meant to plant an idea ;-)

I have to correct what teachers tell my kids almost every day. Socialist this...Collectivist that....what a load of crap. If schools taught real values, like property rights and moral justice instead of..."Government is God" I'd be a lot happier with the schools.

Bad arguments for good ideas are indeed counter productive. If you want to promote something you have to have not only a sound argument, but a convincing one. Simply saying that International Bankers are an evil cancer on society probably won't convince anyone of anything but it might make them doubt your sanity. So show them a movie. Americans like movies! ;) ...http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-1656880303867390173

Well I wonder how SS like road checks are able to happen in the land of the free? ...http://www.youtube.com/user/CheckpointUSA

Waff, yes there are a few difinitions of "Republic". I prefer the American version as prescribed by Jefferson & Co. And for that I'd rather stay and fight than run like a coward to the communist version of a republic. That would be because I am an American Patriot. You should give it a try.

J Carlton, Calgary

"That is what a republican fomr is and that is what a democracy is."... A patently incorrect statement. A Republic is a land of free people. A Democracy is a land of rule by the strongets interests. Or as Washington(?) said...Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

J Carlton, Calgary

Very well said Mike. I imagine the letter to Hamilton was in response to Hamilton's overwhelming desire to reestablish ties with English banking. I'm just now reading a book called "Hamilton's Curse". He was basically laying the ground work for foreign international bankers to control the US almost as the ink was drying on the Constitution. The man was a bought and pad for traitor. Perhaps the first of many to come...

J Carlton, Calgary

Were I to define the British system I would call it a socialist police state with its head up its a**. NEVER let yourself be disarmed. Look what it did to those guys...

J Carlton, Calgary

Sadly America remained a republic for not nearly long enough. And now the democratic system has nearly eviscerated all of rights and ideals Americans once held so dear. (Oh well, off to the mall...) There's going to be a very serious struggle if people are to regain their freedoms.
