Loss of gun ownership means loss of freedom and a move towards dictatorship. An armed populace is the only think left that is keeping the ever more socialist government in check. No guns, no freedom. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: Carl Sagan quote Archer, I was just reading that the Secretary General of the UN is pushing all western nations to "Seal the Deal on Global Warming"...whatever the hell that means....Oh Yeah! It means tax the sh*t out of us. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: Bertrand Russell quote Jim K, I hope you took the time to educate her. And good on you for going to the T-Parties. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: William Randolph Hearst quote Anon, Its typical of people to go after a person's character when the truth they're faced with doesn't suit them. When logic is not on your side...use slander. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: Carl Sagan quote Jim K, and lets not forget the overall "Gun Grab". When American's are defenseless they will find out that they are no longer sheep for fleecing ... but sheep for slaughter... Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: William Randolph Hearst quote And if you are that man...Napolitano will be happy to label you a right wing extremist. (soon to be a "subversive") 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: Carl Sagan quote You won't find that straw of truth while memorizing the stats of your favorite quarterback or watching America's got talent. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/28/09 re: Bertrand Russell quote Turns out the World IS round! And I think Individual Liberty is the most important thing in life. That's why you won't see me staning in a crowd of 100,000 mindlessly chanting..."yes we can". Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/27/09 re: Will Rogers quote There is already a degree of anger out there. Slowly, too slowly people are waking up. But when the greater part of the body of men and women realize they've been had, there is going to be a social and economic meltdown. Perhaps that's why Americans purcheased enough firepower in the last three months of 08 to re-arm the Chinese and Indian armies. Some of these folks have no intention of laughing anything off... Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/26/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Jim, Jefferson's truth was the truth of the times. No I don't consider any human of any color to be sub-human. As for the 1700's, well let's just say they were not as advanced in civility as we are today. However, Jefferson's truth is still true, but today we are able to include all people's in this truth. Had Jefferson been a 20th century man, I would hope he too would subscribe to this thought and I still believe his words are pertinent today. Perhaps more than ever. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/26/09 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Jefferson like every land owner had slaves. Slavery would have died a natural death anyway. Lincoln, though was the first of the criminal Presidents. He had no intention of freeing Northern slaves and actually offered to return run away slaves to the South if only they would rejoin the Union. Jim, Stone Mtn...Lincoln could not have cared less about slavery, he was a Unionist and that was his only real motive. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/26/09 re: Wendell L. Froude quote Excellent comments all. 5 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/25/09 re: Kort E. Patterson quote I can't tell if this describes Stalinist Russia, National Socialist Germany or America circa 2012. Waff, why bother reporting illegal immigrants? After all what they really need is directions to all the free stuff. Medicare, schooling, housing, social security....Another contradiction in the system. Checkpoints on hiways to invade your privacy to find people who are supposedly illegal? How Kafkaesque... 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/25/09 re: George Orwell quote No where is this more prevalent than in Airports. Our government won't feel secure until it has us all metaphorically or even physically handcuffed and gagged. You "do" feel secure....don't you? 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/24/09 re: William J. Truth is no longer a defense in their kangaroo courts. Welcome the "Thought Police". Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/22/09 re: Dmitri Manuilsky quote Anon, Glad you took the time to have a look. This fellow who has started a website called "CheckpointUSA.org" has the right attitude. He has the nerve and the fortitude to do what every American should be doing. Which is to say, challenge unconstitutional authority. I wonder were you aware that approximately 1/3 of the US population now live in a Constitution Free Zone. The Constitution has been suspended for a distance of 100 miles from all borders and seaboards by the DHS. And that the DHS itself is not a government agency, it is answerable to...?????. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” ... Notice any similarities to America today?... It was Hermann Goering at the Nuremburg trials. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/21/09 re: Adolf Hitler quote At least he was up front about his goals. I can't say the same about the UN, The Fed, the CFR and of course the DHS. Imagine if the German people had not been disarmed...think Hitler would have gotten so far? Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/21/09 re: Dmitri Manuilsky quote Our gaurd is down now. But the threat is no longer Soviet Communism, its The Fed and its owners. The goal is still the same though, Global Rule. Only America stands in the way and it seems about to fall. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 8/20/09 re: Max Victor Belz quote Thanks Doug. Makes sense.
