Mike you hit on an important term: "Govern" It immediately implies authority without bounds. That's why I advocate a system of administration, not by election but by professional merit. The positions should be well paid to discourage graft and the holder of those position held completely accountable for non professionalism. So an election is never necessary and as long as an administrator is doing his or her job things are fine. There would be one hell of a lot less waste. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/14/09 re: Herbert Hoover quote Like I said Waffler, its just business as usual and a natural way of life. Now that Homeland Security has labeled everyone who might not agree with their communist agenda,a right wing extremist, I guess every American patriotic to the country's principles must be a wing nut eh? Now that's Bullshit! Hell they've even put veterans returning from overseas on their hit list...and you don't see a problem with any of this? 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/14/09 re: Joseph Sobran quote I'm with Mike on this one. Obama is a train wreck waiting to happen. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/13/09 re: Herbert Hoover quote Don't be alarmed, Waffler, it's not an emergency, just business as usual and a natural way of life that is being threatened by the "false flag" alarmists....there's a major difference and I still don't see your point. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/13/09 re: Sir Winston Churchill quote When there is no due process, under "any" circumstances, the law becomes whatever they say it is on any given day. Again, never give up the power to defend yourself. The enemy within just might not be a terrorist after all... 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/13/09 re: Herbert Hoover quote I'll keep my guns, my freedom and my money, the Obamunists can keep the change. Talk to your friends and neighbors, let them know where the real emergency lies. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/13/09 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote here's another way the Obamunist regime is disarming Americans. I wonder where its all going? Cattle Cars? http://www.theshootist.net/2009/03/dod-ends-sale-of-expended-military.html 1 Reply J carlton, Calgary 5/12/09 re: Henry David Thoreau quote Exactly right Warren. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/12/09 re: James Madison quote Waffler you have no idea what freedom means...None! You sir are the epitome of ant-like behaviour and an apologist for all things socialist. Please, move to a country that suits your flawed ideology, you know, China, Venezuala, Romania... 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/12/09 re: James Madison quote The idea of Democracy has anything "but" individual liberty as its goal. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/11/09 re: Lysander Spooner quote One of the greatest illusions ever put forth by government was that the US is a democracy. It isn't. It's (supposed to be) a Constitutional Republic that holds its government to account. Now its just a front for some malignant international bankers. You're not a citizen...you're "inventory". 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/9/09 re: Fisher Ames quote And to further illustrate, I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said..."A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch" No Thanks! 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/9/09 re: Fisher Ames quote I Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands...with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all...you don't see that around much any more do you? 1Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/8/09 re: Justice Hugo L. Black quote This would be because the Constitution lends itself to natural law much more so that it does to ridiculous laws of control and compliance. Only an immoral government needs to "control" citizens. Audit the Fed, Go Liberty. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/7/09 re: Daniel Webster quote Waffler, even though the elected officials and soldiers take an oath to uphold the Constitution it is the one thing they specifically do NOT do. The idea has become laughable. Since you lack clarity of vision and choose to obfuscate every issue with garage labeled as patriotism, you just keep trumpeting your communism wrapped in the flag propoganda...its what you do. The rest of us (in here) will continue to push for real "Americanism" and a return to Constitutional ways. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/7/09 re: George Bernard Shaw quote The majority of westerners haven't had to think about much more than..."The Blue Jetta or the Red Jetta ?..hmmm" In a very long time. But the reality is coming home to all of us very quickly now. We need to embrace "Americanism" in such a way as we haven't, since its inception. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/7/09 re: Daniel Webster quote It is my hope also the the Americans who are NOT Obamunists may yet save the day. They are the only people in the world with the will and means who might still make a difference. And "Anarchy" is merely the opposite of "Heirarchy". Limited government, not NO government, is what is required. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/6/09 re: Charles A. Beard quote "The words do not apply to overthrowing a free and active democracy." Waffler, wake up...we are no longer a free and active society. There are so many levels of government contol and compliance in place that we can hardly be called "free". 8 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/6/09 re: Frank I. Cobb quote Waffler, you're "thriving democracy" is in its death throes. Largely due to tyrannical government...you don't get out much do you? 7 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/6/09 re: Frank I. Cobb quote The quote demonstrates just how perverse the American judiciary has become. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/5/09 re: Albert Jay Nock quote The manner in which the state inevitably pursues ultimate power and control could easily be described as psychopathic. This why it has become foolish vote left or vote right...or even vote at all. The politicians themselves are no longer servants of the people and the system itself is corrupt almost beyond redemption. The Second Amendment is in place for a reason. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/5/09 re: Sir William Blackstone quote "That the King can do no wrong" is a concept which was soundly rejected by the American people and the founding fathers. It is the antithesis of freedom. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/4/09 re: French Aphorism quote The bayonet is symbolic...the pen is useless. Semper Tyrannis. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/4/09 re: Florence Ellinwood Allen quote Recreating Liberty may be seen as taking a great many forms. Phil may not be all that wrong. If we do not have the resolve to do whatever is necessary, Liberty will be lost. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 5/4/09 re: Declaration of Independence quote We need to get back to the basics of "Americanism". What we have today is absolute socialist bulls**t, which is a cancer on society. And like cancer...socialism kills. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
