Its good to see the Wafflers, Logans and Mikes of the world in spirited debate. I see what might be percieved as an animating contest being held between Patriots and Loyalists. I see it in here and I see it on the streets everyday. I'm pulling for the Patriots. And the government is off its leash. The right is wrong and the left is stupid. So for that matter is the concept of right and left...stupid.

Sadly, people just don't want to know...what they don't want to know.

Oops...revolutionary :)

Abolition should still be on everyone's "to do" list.

Once you understand the concept of "tax farmer's" you'll understand that the whole place is a plantation....

Frank Zappa was actually an amazing individual as weird as he was. And everybody should read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. I have them on my ofice wall.

The western Main Stream Medis is pretty much totally owned by one of five major corporations. I imagine they know how to phone each other and set the strategy of the day. As for writers of books, there's still some good ones out there if you look. My latest fave is John Robb's "Brave New War". It lays the war on terror pretty much wide open.

Robert...its fascism, its corruption, and its out of control.

Such laws are socialist in nature, and socialism is a disease.

Political correctness here in Canada is being taken to new heights. Human Rights Commissions are now being used as "Thought Police". Usually by the visible minorities against non visible minorities and enforced by government. Political correctness actually blurs the lines of decency and perverts law.

At any given time we're almost always guilty of something stupid that has nothing to do with justice.

J Carlton, Calgary

No shortage of laws is there? We don't have a "justice" system anymore, we have a "legal" system. Control control control...

Government Intervention "in the public interest" is a dog off its leash. Just who keeps the government from telling, not asking what is in the "public interest". And no tyranny has ever given any excuse other than "for the good of the people" to justify its behaviour. Nope! What people do in private is NONE of the governments business....PERIOD!

That doesn't actually make much sense. But coming from and MP that's about right.

Its as simple as breathing. Why should any one or any thing want to stop something so simple? Its a basic right.

The "morality" that put this law in place is the same morality that would legalize it...if only they could control and tax it. And again its just another soap box. Check out the you tube video...its pretty good. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRPxN7DGy5c

"Nobody" has a commision from God to Police the world....Nobody!

E Archer, I enjoy your view here. Maybe we should have signs on the inside of our front doors that say. "Caution, The world you are about to enter may have adult content and could be detrimental to your health. Personal discretion is advised" (People should already know that anyway.)

The war on drugs is just another political soap box. Education, not prosecution, is the key

Let me guess...Turner is a homosexual pot head with Aids?

J Carlton, Calgary

I would think that alcohol is better associated with those behaviours. Pot heads are more likely to find a hammock and eat a bag of Doritos.
