Rights and civil liberties are all that should be equal, the rest needs to be earned.

The hard part isn't "doing it"...if you live by your conscience. Which rules out every one in every western government for the last 50 years.

I like this, its a good and very basic thought. And isn't it nice that our government has adhered so well to this philosophy of defending our rights and liberties....no wait, whoops! I mean "securing" our rights. You do feel secure with so many laws...don't you? NOT!

I disagree. I think Hannity is a neo con, hate spreading, talking head who attacks anything and anyone who doesn't agree with the neo con (communist) agenda. He would have been a perfect figure to head up the "Ministry of Truth" Whenever I see him on TV I find him and his propoganda completely revolting and Anti American. But then again I'm a "Constitutionalist". Not a very popular thing to be in today's America.

The State school system "doesn't" teach any real history at all. But they do teach that the State is to be worshipped. Its criminal in its nature. Go on YouTube and search George Carlin / Education. There, is a wake up for you.

I know that I have a LOT of questions. And I've arrived at some truths. "Of the people, By the people"...my ass!

Because with truth comes responsibility. People don't seem to want that either.

God forbid a "Socialized" society. And I don't think people realize that "blowback" actually goes all the way back to at least the Treaty of Versailles which created out of thin air, the Arab states of today as well as set the stage for WW11. Real history isn't taught in schools and that's why the Media can tell us anything they want to...and we believe it.

I think there are more than a few Libertarians here. That's good to see. Perhaps if the First Amendment doesn't work, the Second will.

The only power Governments actually have over us is the power to enforce laws. So they make lots and lots of them, very few of which have anything whatsoever to do with "justice". Its all about Control! About the only thing we should register is our cars....

Unfortunately most of us are educated in State run schools which teach that the State is wonderful, and not much else. Critical thinking isn't on the menu.

This could apply to the media as well. Once they get a hold of a story, the facts are forever lost.
