Today, government is mostly intolerable. Like most liberals, Reston states the insignificant as the most important fact, then tries to play it up emotionally. Yes Hollywood, Paine may have considered uncivilized society a simply mob.

Robbers and oppressors? Criminals and government!

Often untrue. Liberal ideas are usually reruns of socialist thoughts, yet are pushed without reason or logic, and are anything but common sense.

The government takes more than 1/4 off the top in income tax. Add property, state, other taxes, fees and fines ... our tax rate is around 50%. In an 8 hour day, local, state and federal government gets 4 hours of your life. Why the hell should we wait until it reaches 93%?

Government then improves the program, making it even worse, more costly, and less efficient.

Prohibition didn't work for alcohol, and it isn't working for drugs.

Civil rights ... aren't. Women, blacks or gays, should have no special rights or protections over those who are men, whites or straight ... but they do.

Freedom dies in small pieces. Even losing small freedoms, like a $65 ticket for choosing NOT to wear your seatbelt, erodes our RIGHT to Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of Happiness.

Not "mostly given by individuals" ... but our tax dollars given by our government.

The Patriot Act is a perfect example. Unconstitutional no-knock warrants are what happens with improper administration.

Using this analogy, Americans have a lung cancer. The only way the United States will live is to cut out the cancer.

This explains why I vote Libertarian. I will never again vote republican, let alone democratic. Foolish ideas from silly old men is correct.

The "few men" today are congress. The "millions" are the people.
