For example, Bill Clinton used democracy to pass NAFTA with a simple majority, by calling it an Agreement rather than a Treaty, which would have required a 2/3 vote in Congress to pass. Our government is "perverting their voting processes" and getting around the Constitution. When the UN bans guns world-wide, the 2nd Amendment will fall, and with it ... our country! Democracy will have aided in our downfall.

Alcohol prohibition did NOT work. Drug prohibition is NOT working. Gun prohibition will NOT work. Prohibition forces a huge black market. The only way to fix any of these is remove the prohibitions. NO gun should be prohibited. Prohibition is the end game of gun control. Perhaps Don Dalgleish will be the next victim of a criminal who doesn't care about gun prohibition.

You may want to read The Second Amendment Primer by Les Adams, if you want to know the founding fathers' thoughts. Reston and Coventry are not interested in the facts. Machineguns and Glocks are destroying the inner city? Wrong. It is violent, non-peaceable gangs, not the tools they abuse. Criminals don't register their guns, nor do they follow the law, regardless of their ability to read. Being peaceable, I am only a threat to criminals. Ask yourself which neighborhood will gangs stay out of ... one where every home owns numerous firearms and are willing to shoot back at participants of drive-by shootings, or one with "This is a gun-free neighborhood" signs in the front yard?

Banning guns is un-American, unconstitutional and socialist/communist. .22s are okay? An M-16 is a .22 caliber, and muzzle-loaders are often .70 caliber. The Second Amendment states "...keep and bear ARMS...", which includes pistols (semi-auto and revolvers), rifles (bolt action, semi-auto, even machineguns), shotguns (singles, doubles, pump, and autoloaders), knives (manual or switchblades), swords, spears, axes, and even martial arts weapons. Statistically, more guns means less crime. Statistically, the police are more likely to commit crimes than the average citizen. If criminals breaks into your home, late at night to rape and murder your family, then steal what they can carry out ... do you want one bullet in your gun? Of course not, you want 50, so they don't get you while you are ramming a ball into your muzzle-loader.

Thinking like Wedgwood is called freedom ... a foreign concept to socialists. You can force your choice on someone by holding a gun to their head. Even then, some prefer death. When you walk away, that person may choose to do what they want. You make law that infringes on the rights of law abiding citizens, that turn them into criminals when they choose NOT to stop doing what you find "wrong".

Criminals don't and never will register their guns, while law abiding citizens do. What good is infringement of our rights, when criminals don't care? Good people are then disadvantaged, while criminals are GIVEN an advantage. When a criminals breaks into my home at 3 a.m. carrying a machinegun with 100 rounds, am I supposed to say "hey, you can't have that" as he shoots me dead? I should be able to legally own a machinegun with 100 rounds if that's the way I choose to defend my life.

The so-called war on drugs is a waste of money. Many people are in jail for simply smoking a joint. Jail is for people who are a danger to society, not a potential danger to themselves. The Patriot Act makes anything the government wants at the moment a crime. Don't be surprised when YOU end up in jail for who knows what.

Prohibition does not address the root cause of a problem, only the consequences. As alcoholics may drink and drive, legislation lowers blood alcohol content, yet few citizens are alcoholics. As addicts may synthesize Meth, legislation registers over-the-counter antihistamines, yet few citizens are addicts. As violent criminals may assault you, legislation removes your “right to keep and bear arms”, yet few citizens are violent criminals. Prohibition is unreasonable.

Government leaders are hypocrites, and the poor on welfare are fools. They are all freeloaders begging for more to take and take and take.

Marijuana is less addicting and less dependant than nicotine, cocaine, heroine, alcohol, or caffeine. So ... why is it illegal? Because it gives the government control over its citizens. We are NOT a free country.
