Reuben Clark, Jr. quote Of course the U.N. promotes war! The 5 permanent members of the security council make money from selling arms to warring countries. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/28/06 re: George Herbert Walker Bush quote George H. W. Bush should be put on trial for treason. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/27/06 re: Joseph S. Clark quote Joseph S. Clark should be under indictment for treason. 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/24/06 re: George Mason quote Robert, since Gandhi, Jesus and MLK agree, your zero rating is totally illogical, and obviously wrong! Reston, our country is a Republic, not a democracy. For example, Bill Clinton used democracy to pass NAFTA with a simple majority, by calling it an Agreement rather than a Treaty, which would have required a 2/3 vote in Congress to pass. Our government is "perverting their voting processes" and getting around the Constitution. When the UN bans guns world-wide, the 2nd Amendment will fall, and with it ... our country! Democracy will have aided in our downfall. 4 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/24/06 re: George L. Roman quote Alcohol prohibition did NOT work. Drug prohibition is NOT working. Gun prohibition will NOT work. Prohibition forces a huge black market. The only way to fix any of these is remove the prohibitions. Reston, why do you say people will buy machineguns to kill, kill, kill? You are emotionally charged with no basis in fact, logic, reason, nor statistics. 5 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/23/06 re: Janet Reno quote NO gun should be prohibited. Prohibition is the end game of gun control. Perhaps Don Dalgleish will be the next victim of a criminal who doesn't care about gun prohibition. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/23/06 re: Howard Metzanbaum quote NO gun should be banned. "Ban them all" is the end game of gun control. Criminals don't care if guns are banned. Most legislators have brain damage! Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/23/06 re: Prof. Dean Morris quote Why does Prof. Dean Morris feel the police are trustworthy, when they are more corrupt than the civilian population as a whole? Only 1 star Reston, VA? This quote is what you rant about, and you barely acknowledge it. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/23/06 re: James Madison quote Unconstitutional BATFE, FBI, CIA and other alphabet soup agents don’t outnumber us, but our taxes arm them with the best arms our money can buy. Corrupt legislators leave us defenseless. A dozen fully armed agents will murder the People one home at a time, and provide a reason to label us a Patriot Act terrorist. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/23/06 re: Richard Henry Lee quote Dick, Fort Worth and Anonymous, Reston, VA should get their facts straight. I wonder if they live in gated communities with armed guards protecting them? Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/21/06 re: Thomas Jefferson quote It does exist ... here it is! Since there is doubt as to the authenticity of this quote, I won't rate it, but I still like it. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/21/06 re: Hubert H. Humphrey quote Tyranny is in America ... our elected leaders. Term limits, please. 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/20/06 re: Samuel Adams quote You may want to read The Second Amendment Primer by Les Adams, if you want to know the founding fathers' thoughts. Reston and Coventry are not interested in the facts. Machineguns and Glocks are destroying the inner city? Wrong. It is violent, non-peaceable gangs, not the tools they abuse. Criminals don't register their guns, nor do they follow the law, regardless of their ability to read. Being peaceable, I am only a threat to criminals. Ask yourself which neighborhood will gangs stay out of ... one where every home owns numerous firearms and are willing to shoot back at participants of drive-by shootings, or one with "This is a gun-free neighborhood" signs in the front yard? Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/20/06 re: Dianne Feinstein quote Banning guns is un-American, unconstitutional and socialist/communist. .22s are okay? An M-16 is a .22 caliber, and muzzle-loaders are often .70 caliber. The Second Amendment states "...keep and bear ARMS...", which includes pistols (semi-auto and revolvers), rifles (bolt action, semi-auto, even machineguns), shotguns (singles, doubles, pump, and autoloaders), knives (manual or switchblades), swords, spears, axes, and even martial arts weapons. Statistically, more guns means less crime. Statistically, the police are more likely to commit crimes than the average citizen. If criminals breaks into your home, late at night to rape and murder your family, then steal what they can carry out ... do you want one bullet in your gun? Of course not, you want 50, so they don't get you while you are ramming a ball into your muzzle-loader. 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/17/06 re: John Morley quote He's not writing about religious freedom, you socialist simpleton, he's writing about questioning authority. BTW, the First Amendment ends with "... and to petition the Government for redress of grievances." Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/17/06 re: Josiah C. Wedgwood quote Thinking like Wedgwood is called freedom ... a foreign concept to socialists. You can force your choice on someone by holding a gun to their head. Even then, some prefer death. When you walk away, that person may choose to do what they want. You make law that infringes on the rights of law abiding citizens, that turn them into criminals when they choose NOT to stop doing what you find "wrong". 1Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/16/06 re: Plato quote Criminals don't and never will register their guns, while law abiding citizens do. What good is infringement of our rights, when criminals don't care? Good people are then disadvantaged, while criminals are GIVEN an advantage. When a criminals breaks into my home at 3 a.m. carrying a machinegun with 100 rounds, am I supposed to say "hey, you can't have that" as he shoots me dead? I should be able to legally own a machinegun with 100 rounds if that's the way I choose to defend my life. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/16/06 re: Joel Miller quote The so-called war on drugs is a waste of money. Many people are in jail for simply smoking a joint. Jail is for people who are a danger to society, not a potential danger to themselves. The Patriot Act makes anything the government wants at the moment a crime. Don't be surprised when YOU end up in jail for who knows what. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/15/06 re: Lysander Spooner quote Vices SHOULDN'T be crimes, but become crimes when politicians legislate them so. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/14/06 re: Neil A. McDonald quote Leave it to a "suppressor" to pretend he doesn't understand the definition. BTW, what's wrong with public nudity? hehehe 1 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/14/06 re: Andrew Weil, MD quote How can you "rate" a statement of apparent fact? Does "no stars" mean it is a false statement? hahaha 2 Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/13/06 re: Abraham Lincoln quote Prohibition does not address the root cause of a problem, only the consequences. As alcoholics may drink and drive, legislation lowers blood alcohol content, yet few citizens are alcoholics. As addicts may synthesize Meth, legislation registers over-the-counter antihistamines, yet few citizens are addicts. As violent criminals may assault you, legislation removes your “right to keep and bear arms”, yet few citizens are violent criminals. Prohibition is unreasonable. 21Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/9/06 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Government leaders are hypocrites, and the poor on welfare are fools. They are all freeloaders begging for more to take and take and take. Reply Joe, Rochester, MI 3/8/06 re: Mark Thornton quote Marijuana is less addicting and less dependant than nicotine, cocaine, heroine, alcohol, or caffeine. So ... why is it illegal? Because it gives the government control over its citizens. We are NOT a free country. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
