How can you say "I am not an Athenian or a Greek, I am a citizen of the world" is such a great quote, but this peace and love quote is so bad?

Socialism asks me to deny my God given rights, and I'd rather be murdered by this police state than to surrender even one right. It makes sense that you socialist/communist/collectivist/anti-Americans would give this peace/harmony/love the world quote 5 stars. You'll change your mind when the BATFE breaks down your front door at 3:00 a.m. and arrests you simply because you were overheard saying "I can understand why the terrorists hate America" ... you citizens of the world will be considered terrorists because of your thoughts.

Our government is the most irresponsible of any group of people in this country. There isn't too much freedom ... there is too much government.

Our government (tyrants) claim the Patriot Act is a "necessity", and ordinary Americans will accept their slavery. WAKE UP PEOPLE! Write to your legislators and ask them to vote against the Patriot Act, or your freedom in this country is screwed.

We ARE born equal ... with nothing. Each law takes a little bites from everyone's freedom. Soon we will have the Patriot Act to stomp on equality.

Government (i.e. Washington) is waste at the most extreme. Only when ordinary people have had enough will we get off our butts and throw the bums out.

By giving someone freedom they don't appreciate it. Iraqis will never know freedom until they boot the US out of their country.

Today's media doesn't state all the facts. They show only the facts that will "...make every item of news serve a certain purpose." For example, every gunshot that wounds someone is reported, but you don't hear about the 2.5 million times each year guns stop a crime, or that most of the time a shot is never fired. Give me the facts, so I may realize the benefit of guns.

Our government dehumanizes Iraqis, at the same time they tell us to respect Iraqis. Another example that "government doesn't work" ... except in favor of the legislators who reap (rape?) the rewards stolen from the people.

Greater danger resides with the ever increasing size of our government.

After listening to the children of New Orleans flood victims whine that nobody is helping them and we must help them now, it is obvious they will take any and all welfare sent their way, regardless of their need.

The media = intellectual prostitutes. Governement, big business and the media are not trustworthy.

Being politically correct by never giving 'offense' should be offensive to every American. Nowhere in the Constitution does it state your right to NOT be offended. PC is BS designed to increase control over people, and the government responds by legislating redundant laws such as 'hate crimes'. Is it MORE illegal to murder someone if they are a homosexual? Of course not, but it does provide an excuse, and transfer personal responsibility from the murderer to society at large.

Too often what is said simply repeats what is heard.

If terrorist alliances are gathering to "gobble us up", it is primarily because our government has given them a reason to hate us.

In 2006 ignorance is appropriate, primarily because there is too much to keep track of. For example the tax code is extensive. Since most of it doesn't apply to any specific individual and it is so difficult to find what does apply that the IRS doesn't understand it, people are ignorant of it.

Politicians get the public to spout the opinion they want to justify oppressing others.

Freedom is the liberty to act on your opinions without interference from the government, not simply think or say what you want.

Our politicians are really good at keeping up appearances. It doesn't take much logic to see their fallicies. The problem is people too often react with emotion rather than logic and reason ... you know, common sense!

Until people, especially our legislators, truly address the difficult questions, our country will continue to deteriorate. Vote for change, like Libertarian or Constitutional candidates, because Democrats and Republicans are accelerating our decline. Our government seems to think if they fly a plane into the ground fast enough it will safely emerge on the other side of the planet, so they increase power to the engines and push the stick forward.

The invisible powers are known as lobbyists! Get rid of that money and their power evaporates.
