Government IS taking it all away.

The democratic process is used to the advantage of the rich by legislators, so it would be very stupid to break that institution. This is why our Republic is called a democracy.

Our corrupt government is full of traitors (i.e. congress, president, senators, etc.). They are selfish with their own agenda, not caring about our country or people. A quick internet search yields multiple hits attributing this quote to Cicero. If this is a misquote, it is well accepted. Misquote or not, it is still rates several stars. Perhaps A.W. Schlaf is a traitor ... or at least a socialist posing as a democrat.

Our government is for sale to all bidders.

The people are paying for lunch through illegal and unconstitutional taxes collected by the IRS. If people stopped paying taxes congress and the president might get the hint there is no such thing as a free lunch.

By voting the lesser of two evils, the winner incorrectly believes they are voted "for", rather than "against the other". So I vote Libertarian to send the message "I don't want you, I want change, I don't like the way you act" to the democrats and republicans destroying our country.

Yet he foolishly did nothing to try and reverse the corruption he created. Truly the beginning of the downfall of the United States.

Politicians need to stop the spending. The public debt is killing our country.

Our country was founded upon a belief in god. But long and complicated statements are truly found in today's tax code. Even the IRS doesn't understand their own bull$#!+.

This is the complete opposite of capitalism. Money, and banks, totally control our lives. I'm surprised to realize so much government control in Lincoln's time. He is heralded as one of our best presidents. More examination reveals him to be one of the worst for our Republic.

The freedom to own and carry any gun, knife or other weapon, is but one of those unalienable rights.

Legislators make it easy to create a law and damn near impossible to abolish it. Judges seem to ignore laws at their convenience.

I will protect what is mine. Law abiding citizens need not fear me, but criminals beware ... you may get shot stealing from me.

Since a right can not be taken away, keep the gun control people away from the Second Amendment.

The section of the community who are best at protecting persons and property are "the people" themselves. Government does a poor job defending us, as demonstrated on 9/11. Government is worse at directing our opinions and habits.

Why is it "we the people" refers to individuals, until gun control advocates speak of the Second Amendment? Suddenly, they speak in terms of groups. It's "...the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear Arms shall NOT be INFRINGED."

By carrying a concealed handgun, I support and defend life, liberty and property ... mine, my family, my friends, and my neighbors.

Freedom is your right and you have the right to defend them. Your rights end where the rights of others begin. You don't have the right to take anything. This kind of talk starts riots.

Leaders will follow only when the people revolt, otherwise, they do whatever they want at our expense.
