I like this Justice. My favorite amendment is the Second. The right is owning and carrying arms (weapons, guns, knives, swords). Justification for the right is the necessity to provide security for the State. Not the country, but the State. The people should provide for their own protection, not Homeland Security, not the FBI, and definitely NOT the armed forces.

The U.S. Supreme Court must be a bunch of laymen, since they apparently don't understand the 5th amendment which states in part "...nor shall private property be taken for public use...". Considering the U.S. is a Republic, they are acting very socialist, or even comunist.

Yet he became The President?

Today, Jefferson might say "I cannot live without blogs" (the internet).

This from a man who poured water on the "fires of freedom"? Typical socialist lack of thought.

Read more books. Do not censor.

The pope should censor himself.

No more censorship, especially from the church!

Same with our rights. Let one person ban one gun and the rest will be banned. "And then we will have no [rights] left on the shelf for any of us." Our rights are being eliminated, one Amendment at a time.

Government and The Press ... both will tell you we are a nation of fools.

Let the people read how dangerous Socialism is and learn from it. If not, our once great country, a Constitutionally LIMITED Federal Republic, will cease to exist (less than 50 years).

Read and learn always.

Simply convince people it is moral to impose upon the rights of others.

More harm and misery (in billions of dollars) have been caused by Congress to millions of U.S. citizens than the terrorists caused on 9-11-2001.

We must stop the elitists from taking more from us, and work on restoring the rights they've already stolen.

Examples denying full exercise: Fencing protesters blocks away from what they are protesting, and denying people to speak their mind within a month of an election, abridges our 1st Amendment rights; Requiring a concealed carry permit, registration of weapons, and making certain weapons illegal (i.e. machine guns, .50 caliber, switchblades), infringes our 2nd Amendment rights.

Our government should speak the truth, but at best speak only half-truth.

Think "Patriot Act". Congress, scoundrels all.

The Patriot Act is an elephant standing on the throats of all U.S. citizens.

Legislation is the problem, stomping on the rights of those doing something they don't like.

I doubt ANY "good bureaucrat" currently exists in the United States.

Government acts with the best intentions, and convince their "victims" it is for their own good. Well, stop trying to save me!

The U.S. was a Federal Republic, but is now socialist. This quote is completely the opposite of the Second Amendment. When the people are disarmed, we will all be slaves to the government.

...yet Canada is taking away firearms. A double standard, or socialist double-talk? As an NRA member, I believe in the Second Amendment and "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms..."
