The recognition and value of truth can be taught but not truth itself - truth is absolute and absolutes are absolute.

The process hasn't changed just the currency.

Yes, we are no different to other animals down the food chain. But what makes us different is choice - we either gravitate to the dark side or to the side of enlightenment - the choice is yours... Will society ever change or are we doomed because of our unwillingness to accept compassion and kindness as our only true religion.

Indeed! the more we delegate the less we understand - we must retain the ability to always have control over the machine. The point as you say Terry is philosphical - as long as there is someone out there that knows how to build my flying machine I am happy - its when none of us know how to recreate the machines that we should be concerned.

Self-reliance and being one's own person is all very well and a virtue that brings independence more than freedom; self-discipline is the same, bringing freedom and contentment. But, there are those not so fortunate, whether it be circumstance or capability, who need the helping hand of another human being – it’s called consideration, kindness, and compassion.
