Outer space photos show that China, South America and Africa are the source of almost all pollution on this planet and you will find that they are exempt in the Kyoto accord. The U.N. behaves as if its goal is global communism. This planet is doing fine. Only a fool would by into man made global warming. The whole theory negates itself because increased cloud cover creating an insulating effect (green house effect) will also reflect away the solar heat and actually will cause it to cool. This is left out of all global warming equations.

The south declared war on the north. GET IT RIGHT. Lincoln had his priorities right. The Union was to be saved first. Every thing else came after. He was no doubt the second best president we have had after Washington. Paying for your neighbor’s education is a benefit for all. By the way a neighbor paid for yours so I guess it comes out even. Of course it is hard to say that what goes on in schools today is really education. My grandchildren are home schooled. I was walking with my 4 year old grandson down a hall at a college. We saw a sign that read Gymnastics => he said "I want to see gymnastics". I was floored. He won't start his education for 2 more years yet he has picked that much up overhearing his older sisters classes at home. We graduate people who can't read from public schools. Go figure.

I think we need to ask Ben what he meant by his quote. I doubt that he was giving his approval of government confiscation of property on a whim.

This is the basis of our system. Unfortunately we keep transferring the responsibilities up the ladder. Eventually all rights and responsibilities will be at the top and we will be truly at the bottom.

Its lawyers stupid. That is what should be on any t shirt that is talking about the problem with government. It is lawyers that are the problem. Lawyers are constantly perverting law and courts. It is lawyers we fill government with. It is lawyers we need to free ourselves from.

Government is a reflection of the people. The corruption starts with the people. When we start to expect the government to take care of our responsibilities, we get a Bill, Hillary, or our current congress. Corruption always fills a void left when responsibilities are ignored. We get what we are. If we want government to change we must begin with ourselves.

The founders argued over this. I see both sides. The people have all rights and privilages not specifically designated to the state. The bill of rights was argued to be a contradiction to that. If rights are listed for the people it could be infered that any thing not listed belonged to the state. Then it was possible that any unforseen right or privilage would be gobbled up by the state since it was not forbiden it in the bill of rights.

It is religious intolerance that we are at war with in the Middle East right now if you haven't noticed. We must defeat it or it will eventually destroy all of us.

The lack of concept of property must have been what drove the Indian tribes to kill each other over territory. They practiced that for their entire existence before we got here. As for sternwards of the land, they did not hesitate to set fire to prairie grass to stampede bison into pits or over cliffs. They sometimes killed an entire herd while only needing a small fraction of the herd. They often slaughter other tribes for territory or just because they felt like it. There were tribes that were very peaceful but many were not. Owner ship was a tribal thing not a private thing. Therefore Indians were not free in an individual sense.
