It is advocating religious freedom. A rational religious person knows that if he suppresses someone else's religion he invites the other to suppress his. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Richard E. Sincere, Jr. quote Hitler was fulfilling the promises of Charles Darwin. As was Lenin and Stalin. Darwin predicted the blood bath and it happened and will continue to happen as long as we subscribe to the theory that he him self denounced years after putting it forth. 2 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Richard E. Sincere, Jr. quote The key to the statement is the 'right not to be offended" part. This country is full of people on the left that thinks that their rights are violated if something offends them. 1Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Robert G. Ingersoll quote I believe he was speaking in a philosophic mode not a material one. You obviously can't give any one a right, you can only infinge upon it. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Justice Louis D. Brandeis quote He understood the founding fathers. Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Julian Huxley quote It's a poor quote if it needs explanation. It leaves you wondering what he meant. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Notices that this is the source of the “wall of separation” not the constitution as many have claimed. 2 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Good quote defending religion and the free exorcise there of. This is not in the constitution as you should note. It is a clarification of why the state cannot make any law limiting the right of people to express their religion anywhere anytime. He was assuring the church that they had nothing to fear from the government Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Thomas probably would be crucified today. Or at least stoned to death. How dare he attack our "living" document the Constitution. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Alexander Hamilton quote The forgotten philosophy of the founding fathers. Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Daniel Webster quote Guess D.W. was ahead of his time. Great argument for an all volunteer military. Just like Bush has. Only a baboon would think that D.W.'s quote has something to do whit G.W.B. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Good short explanation as to why we are a republic. 1 Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Bill Clinton quote Only scratches the surface of the despicable state of mind of the Clintons. Wake up Bruce! You worship the most corrupt president (or politician for that mater) that this country ever had. Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: John Adams quote When we decide that what is in this quote is not valid we are finished. Reply warren, olathe 8/21/07 re: Jerome H. Skolnick quote No one has the power to define morality. To think so is delusional. Reply Warren, Olathe 8/10/07 re: Justice John Marshall quote Well said about Caesar Mike. Reply Warren, Olathe 8/10/07 re: John Locke quote It all comes to one simple fact. When you fail to take responsibility you pass it on to the government your freedom going with it. Reply Warren, Olathe 8/10/07 re: Alexander Hamilton quote Natural law has nothing to do with nature. The term natural law comes from Aleister Crowley. It is totally arbitrary. Morality is defined by personal preference. It was the philosophy of Stalin and Hitler. Crowley thought that if he worked hard enough to please his pagan gods he would be rewarded by being made the anti Christ. He died very disappointed. Reply warren, olathe 8/10/07 re: Justice Louis D. Brandeis quote Religion like all things can and is perverted by man and used to meet his own purposes. We obviously were trying to "leave the crazy Muslims to themselves" Ignoring the repetitive attacks they have made against us for years. There comes a time when you have no choice. If there was no oil there the wealth that funds terrorism would not be there either and we could just ignore them. To give places like Iraq the opportunity to have freedom in this area is the first step in defusing the whole problem. The other nations surrounding Iraq may have a hard time denying their people freedom if they see it is possible to have it. This is the only course we have to ultimately remove the threat with out doing the unthinkable. Reply Warren, Olathe 8/10/07 re: John Locke quote Anarchy is the ultimate tyranny. Anarchy is the ultimate form of natural law. Reply warren, olathe 8/8/07 re: Richard A. Viguerie quote Couldn't be said better. It is unfortunate that defending the country is so unimportant to some people. To think that in the past people were rounded up and put in concentration camps because they looked like the enemy while today we can’t do any thing that would be considered profiling is a shame. We are becoming so soft that we could go by way of Rome. Death from within. They can only defeat us if we are not willing to defend ourselves. 12Reply warren, olathe 8/8/07 re: Justice William O. Douglas quote No. In fact they were far more educated and well fed than their British counterparts. They felt superior to the British in every way. They simply wanted to be given the same rights and responsibilities as British subjects in Brittan. The decision to separate from Brittan did not come till the war was already 1 and 1/2 years old. The struggle started over intellectual and free enterprise issues. Reply warren, olathe 8/8/07 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Most people in this country seem so far past taking any responsibility for their actions that this philosophy is lost on them. Reply warren, olathe 8/2/07 re: John Dickenson quote Good message but too cumbersome of wording to be easily remembered. Reply warren, olathe 8/1/07 re: Walter Lippmann quote Almost true. The friends he speaks of are not truly friends. They just say they are. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
