I forwarded this quote to a talk-show host - including the citation/link to liberty-tree - and substituted (Libertarians deny) for "Liberalism denied". Modern "Liberals" are Socialists, and quite ill-liberal.

Again,I must say: "The Individual is SUPREME to The State because the Individual Created The State. There would be No State without Individuals. When you change the way you look @ things, the things you look @ change.

It's hard to argue with il Duce. He should know, having been everything from Marxist Socialist to right-wing Member of Parliament to Fascist Dictator. He was a contradiction, once calling himself an "anti-patriot" pacifist and imprisoned for his propaganda, later.as war leader, arrested for his s failed military campaign. He was firmly on both sides of WWII - depending on which side was winning,

Liberalism denied the State in the interests of the particular individual; ...and it did so at the point of a gun.

Even during Musolini's day, his statement was out of date. Yesteryear's liberalism is a distant abhorrence to the current statist theocracy. Today's liberalism is an array of the collectivist's despotism and tyranny. 5 stars for liberalism's definition amongst the constitutional creators as it was during their day and for fascism of any day. Thumbs down to the quote's sentiment, equating such to today's use of liberalism.

Communism (left) and Fascism (right) are simply 2 ends of the same socialism's stick (the entire stick is rotten). Socialism is: any of various economic, religious and political theories, philosophies or movements outside nature’s law advocating collective or governmental / religious ownership and administration of property (real / chattel / sensorial beings, tangible, intangible, etc.) along with the means of production and distribution of goods. Communism holds "all" in the name of the single god (the whole of the State or otherwise controlling community); while, Fascism holds "all"  either in its single god name as does communism or, in legal persons such as corporations and LLCs. In fascism, the single god holds equitable title while all else is permitted a limited limited operation.

Fascism, socialism, at the point of a gun. He knew that much.

He is talking about the real liberal. The ones that we call liberal are progressives. They hijacked the term liberal when the public wised up to what they were and progressive became a dirty word. Now they are going back to progressive for the same reason. They think that coming up with words or names that sound good will somehow fool the dunderheads that tend to vote for them. Like all socialists he became a crony capitalist after he came to power. Obama did the same.

The community and the individual are intrinsically connected and must strive in the direction of mutual benefit.

Sillik,  "mutual"?  Can you please give me "community's" address or phone number, I would like to subpoena him/her/it? and ask how "mutual benefit" is defined exactly. I can knock on the door of individuals and speak with them knowing mutual benefit is had in individual sovereignty, a free exercise of inalienable rights and liberty at nature's law.
