The process of choice then identifies the number of choices; — such as: within a socialist domain, you can choose left (communism) or you can choose right (fascism) or any mix or variant thereof. 1 Reply RobertSRQ 12/3/07 Reston - well done! the process for choice should be made clear to the people. Eduction also has the responsibility of explaining choices. 2 Reply E Archer, NYC 12/3/07 There is no freedom without responsibility. 2 Reply warren, olathe 12/4/07 Sounds like a big criticism for today’s educational system doesn’t it. 2 Reply anonymous 3/10/14 What? This is news? To whom? 2 Reply Mary - MI 3/10/14 Totally agree with this quote. Individuals should be taught the means of rational objective thinking through the means of cognitive thinking. They should be taught to weigh the counter arguments and debates in order to come to a rational conclusion of what the end consequences would result in and whether or not they have been presented with facts. In other words - allowed for themselves to put one brain cell in front of the other to decipher what is actual truth and what is not. 2 Reply jim k, austin tx 3/10/14 The purpose of education should be to teach students to think for themselves and to question everything. 2 Reply watchman13, USA 3/10/14 Well said Jim, There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. Learn to play a good game of chess. Reply Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown 5/6/24 I have to say this quote is not correct because a criminal system never gives you clear choices. You have to allow your educated guesses to make the choice for you. Your education makes the choice for you because the mentally ill authoritarian will never present the clear choice. Education makes the choice and my education tells me education is a trustworthy associate. SaveOk2 SaveOk2 View CommentsClick to view or comment.
