Brilliant! Works for the high ranking communist theives. "Communism is the equal distribution of wealth according to rank [, often rank stupidity in fact]. -- Gölök Z. L. F. Buday, publisher-at-large of The My Ego Times. Gölök Buday http://www.myegotimes.com/

(-; I guess that is one reason. ;-) Communism (any all forms of socialism) doesn't / don't work for a lot of reasons. As faculties of birth, individuals come into this life as individual sovereigns, with inalienable rights and liberty at nature's law (to start a list). All such is antithetical to communism (socialism).

Being a toy is pointless.  Communism has assembled because someone has been drawn to wonder what it really means to be a human being.

Sillik, communism is a cataclysmic religion that draws despots to enslave chattel that have NO idea what it means to be human.

Good grief, Fred.  Hundreds of millions were rubbed out by their own communist governments, the rest enslaved by the Party.  This is what it means to be human? (!!)

Mr Archer, Communism does not carry with it a competition element. These regimes you are referring too were just calling themselves what ever they needed to manipulate, just like the various voting schemer's republics say they are "democratically" electing their representatives.  The conventional homosapiens do not yet properly respect the force and energy of words and language, with the possible exception of the many f-bombs I dropped when I couldn't find my f#'kin phone today, sorry.

Once again, defenders of communism / socialism say 'true' communism / socialism has never been tried.  That's the thing, though, communist revolutions never deliver on their empty promises  THAT'S COMMUNISM!  Once a people give up their rights, rarely if ever do they get them back...

Communism doesn't work without a dictator, only one political party, prison camps, and firing squads.

Mr Archer, Communism does not have any appreciation for dictators. Every voice of reason is immediately recognized, acknowledged  and respected.  The best idea rules, and not the one who's best "in the sack," as the voters apparently insist.  Good ideas rule.

Pure BS!  Every communist country (and yes they are actually REAL communists  the leaders say they are and so do the people) requires a dictator.  Name ONE communist country that is not totalitarian, Fred.

Mr Archer, your assertion and limited comprehension of this subject makes it difficult to respond.  Your perspective is biased as well as subjective. There are no communist's countries, for in every arrangement, similar to the arrangement you are familiar, there presents the situation of an advantaged elite and the challenging disadvantaged. The arrangement in which you're familiar, the conventional population tries to force their sick agenda onto the rest of population defining total control totalitarian.  The typical conventional degenerate tries to actively interfere with the rights and privileges of another in order to set up a fall into the same traps that snared them.

Sillik, your childish attempts to subjectively redefine words from the adult and history’s real and legal world only goes to prove your god syndrome’s fallacy. By objective example: Religion is: “real piety in practice, consisting in the performance of all known duties to ⋯ our fellow men.” (Bouviers Law Dictionary). “⋯ Socialism is a religion. All we lack is a religious genius capable of uprooting outmoded religious practices and putting new ones in their place. We lack traditions and ritual. One day soon National Socialism will be the religion of all Germans. My Party is my church, and I believe I serve the Lord best if I do his will, and liberate my oppressed people from the fetters of slavery. That is my gospel.” (Joseph Goebbels, Diary entry, October 16, 1928) Communism is categorized as a left of center application of socialism’s many forms of enslavement (your social and otherwise duty to your fellow man).

Fred's response is typical of those promoting socialism / communism by saying "there are no communist countries" and that those I refer to as communist (as well as the communists themselves) "force their sick agenda ... interfer[ing] with the rights and privileges of another" just goes to show his denial of the actual practice of these totalitarian ideologies.

Fred's utopian view of communism is in fact a distorted appropriation of classic liberalism.  By admitting that today's communism is a bastardization of it's professed ideals, he demonstrates the false promises of statist rule which lays claim to everyone and everything instead of protecting the natural-born rights (not granted by any government or authority) of the people  their lives, liberty, and sovereignty.

If only Fred could realize that individual liberty best promotes his compassion, how much more empowered he would be.  His hopes for humankind are valid, however, his proposed method of achieving them is woefully flawed.
