If Williams or Thomas Sowell would run for president I would gladly vote for either.

Astute in its simplicity... But difficult in implementation!

The advocate of democracy and liberty are one and the same. The authentic advocate of democracy is a listener of reasonable explanations and a practitioner of reasonable practices, and a supporter of reasonable explanations and practices.

Liberty must also follow a course of reasonable explanations and reasonable practices to be acknowledged as sane.

Mike,, Norwalk, actions must be justified. Universal acknowledgement must be all pervasive so understanding of the agreed conditions will allow cohesive harmony.  We must have understanding.

Sillik, what does justifying actions have to do with liberty? The answer: "NOTHING" ! ! !   Liberty is Liberty  by definition. I've supplied you with the definition of "liberty" on this blog a multiple of times. No where in the definition of "liberty" does personal justification show up.

You must display appropriate behavior. You have no freedom to kill, rape, and rob. You must display decent, honest, sincere, principled, behavior. You have no justification to misrepresent circumstances in the typical pattern that conventional behavioral traits reveal.
